NUCA’s 2017 Trench Safety Stand Down Reached more than 10,000 Workers!
The NUCA 2017 TSSD was an amazing success, thanks in no small part to all the hard work of members and nonmembers alike. This collaboration reinforces our belief that all industry segments can come together to work for a common purpose – employee safety. This year’s stand down reached more than five times the workers than the first TSSD last year. It gives us great pride to see the efforts of contractors who held stand downs at 800+ jobsites and reached more than 10,200 workers, both in the U.S. and abroad. A stand down was held at Bagram Airforce Air Field in Afghanistan, where civil engineering airmen teamed up with DOD contractors to hold their own stand down. How’s that for getting the message of safety in the trenches out there? We would like to thank the NUCA Safety Ambassadors Club members for sponsoring this year’s TSSD.
